Website design

Websites that help people understand your business quickly.

We build marketing websites that support discovery, improve conversion, and create a clear professional presence.

What we focus on

A straightforward process that keeps the site useful.

  • Discovery: we start by understanding the business, the audience, and what the site needs to do.
  • Structure and content: we shape the pages and wording so people can find what they need quickly.
  • Design and build: we create a clean, responsive site that works well on mobile and desktop.
  • Ownership: when we build your website, you own it and can move it to most providers later if you wish.

What it typically costs

A clear quote up front.

We give a fixed quote based on the brief, not an open-ended day rate. Once quoted, that price stays fixed — we won’t ask for more because of unexpected expenses or extra time on our side. Simple marketing sites start in the low hundreds; more complex builds with custom forms, integrations, or multiple page templates cost more.

Phased budgets welcome — start with the essentials, expand as the business grows. We can also provide hosting, or set the site up on a compatible provider you already use.

Value

More than a brochure.

A good website can support marketing, improve conversion, create a professional presence, and help people discover your business. We keep that aim in view from the start.

For charities

Support for non-profit work.

We offer specific discounts, and in some cases free services, for non-profit and charitable organisations.

Common questions

Quick answers.

Most small marketing sites take two to four weeks from kick-off to launch, depending on our current capacity and how quickly content and feedback come back from your side. Larger sites take longer; we’ll set a realistic timeline in the quote and be honest if we cannot start straight away.

You own the site. The code, the content, and the domain are yours. You can move to a different provider later if you wish, and we’ll help you do that cleanly.

Yes, hosting is available as part of the package. If you already have a provider you’re happy with, we can deploy the site there instead.

Yes. We offer small change packs and ongoing maintenance for updates after launch. By default we build without a content management system (CMS), which keeps both build and hosting costs down — but it means editing the site yourself would need some web development experience. If you’d prefer to edit content directly, we can build on a CMS instead; just ask up front so we can quote it accordingly.

For a small marketing site, usually no. A CMS (like WordPress) lets you edit content through an admin panel, but it costs more in two places: a higher build cost because there’s more to set up, and ongoing cost because the CMS itself needs updates, security patches, and compatible hosting. For a site that changes a few times a year, paying for the occasional small change pack is usually cheaper and simpler. A CMS earns its keep when you genuinely need to publish often (a blog, news, frequent product updates) or when several people need to edit content. We’ll give you a straight recommendation based on the brief.

For small product ranges, yes — usually built on an established platform rather than from scratch. For larger stores we’ll discuss whether we’re the right fit or recommend a specialist.
